The Office of Assessment, Evaluation, and Accountability (OAEA) offers a number of services to Orange County school districts, schools, and other local educational agencies. The Office serves as the primary information conduit to 28 school districts for information on California's various testing programs (STAR, CAHSEE, CELDT, PFT, etc.) for county educators, parents, and community members. Regular meetings are conducted where district officials meet to network and to get the latest policy information pertaining to testing, standards, and student achievement. Trainings are offered in the use of student achievement data for teachers and administrators to drive their instructional decisions. The Office develops reports on Orange County's testing and accountability results and provides support for data presentations for various audiences. In addition to providing support regarding testing and accountability, the Office also offers program evaluation services by providing support to the Orange County Department of Education (OCDE) and its partner agencies with collection of rigorous evidence of program impacts and processes. The Office provides both online and paper Survey Support (e.g. WASC, school climate, senior exit surveys) for OCDE, school, and district collection and analysis needs.
